We're staying at Coranado Springs last two weeks of August this year. DH is running New York Marathon 1st Week-end in Nov, so will be in training! Any reccomendations of where to run. Think he's hoping to do early am-about 4 miles 5 days a week

Coranado Springs is a nice big resort,it a a long walkway round it.when were having a mornning walk, there are plenty of runners using it.
go to http://www.willcad.org/disney_maps.shtml andclick on map for CS resort.around lake its .75 of a mile.but you can run round the rest of the resort with no problems.dont forgert to do it early as it gets hot later in day

What about a few laps of the Disney Speedway ? Sorry couldn't resist.
Seriously what about the path between Boardwalk and Hollywood Studios. When we stay at Boardwalk the rest of my Family go back on the Friendships after Fantasmic. They've not beaten me yet !!

I actually found long distance runs to be tough.

There are a bunch of options for runs of a few kilometers, but looking at my training schedule, I'd estimate that he'd be doing around 25km by the end of August (give or take). So, he may be looking at lots of loops!

I know from personal experience that running on 'main roads' may results in an offer of a lift from a passing bus driver - an offer that he wouldn't let me refuse. Not sure what rules (if any) I was breaking but two different bus drivers insisted that I couldn't be on the road - I was somewhere just outside of Coronado Springs.

Tell you DH to enjoy NYC - I ran it in 2005 and loved it.

Thanks for the replies. He now wants me to take a pasting table and cups of water so he can practise picking up a drink whilst running!!!!:lovestruc

I run 4 marathons and probably a dozen halfs (plus assorted shorter races) and I *still* can't run while drinking - plus walk breaks are nice!

I found this site, which might prove helpful:

http://www.disneyrunning.com/wdwtrails.html

It shows running trails at most/all of the resorts. They all tend to be about a mile or less, but might be helpful for your husband.
