Marathon Spectator Route Planning Tool

I heard that spectators will not be allowed on Main St at the MK for the 2010 races. Just wondering if this is true and if anyone else has heard or seen this info somewhere.

Thanks

:scared1: SAy it isn't so!

This is what the website says for teh "Cinderella Castle Viewing Point"

Walk from the start to the monorail station at Epcot® and ride it to the Transportation and Ticket Center station. Exit the monorail and walk down the ramp and follow the overhead signs for the monorail to Magic Kingdom® Park. After arrival at the Magic Kingdom® Park/ Main Street U.S.A. exit the platform and walk toward the park entrance to watch for your runner.

I don't liek that it doesn't say to walk into the park.

?!?

Doubtful for Marathon Weekend in Janaury. I could see it for the other races at WDW held throughout the year since they are considerably smaller. Of course all it takes is one or two goobers trying to game the system and sneek into the park on race morning and the rumour could come true!

In January my wife was able to get into the MK. She was standing at the hub, with hundreds of other folks, and I stopped so she could take my picture. It sure does not sound like that we be allowed this coming January.

I would be absolutely shocked if that were true - the no MK thing that is. That would change the entire atmosphere of the race. Hope not!

Where is this coming from, what's the source? I do not read it anywhere. Main Street has always been open for the race and Disney would really have to specifically say "Spectators will not be allowed on Main Street" somewhere for this to be true. The Spectator tool still has Cinderella Castle Viewing listed. If you have a source that says something different let us know. Otherwise look for your DW on Main again.
