Marathon Relay in 2012

Has there been any word as to whether it would be a 2,3 or 4 person relay?

Expect Relay costs
$280.00 on or before April 24, 2011
$300.00 between April 25 – July 3, 2011
$320.00 on or after July 4, 2011

Two person teams w/ an Inaugural Medal. Info says 'new' half marathong courses but I believe that they are unsing the old half course from runner 1 and the back half of the current full for runner 2. Expect a little confusion in front of the MK parking lot at mile 13.

A friend emailed today to say that the relay is open for registration. I haven't been to the site yet.

99.9% sure it's the Wine and Dine Half Relay that opened today. The stuff for Marathon Weekend doesn't open until next week - but not sure if that includes the relay yet.

Urgent - - -

Note that you must designate the leg of the relay you want to run at registration. It sounds like the decision can be changed pre-expo, but will need to be revised on line.....

Also

Note that it seems like the number of relay entries Is limited... From the website...
"Space for the 2012 WALT DISNEY WORLD® Marathon Relay is very limited and subject to capacity."

If you want to run the relay it may be worth entering early

I'd like to add that the relay exchange zone for the Wine and Dine last October was magical, or at least I thought so. Many of the relay teams were life partners as well as running partners. I saw so many sweet scenes as the first runner passed it to the second. Myself, when I saw Martha come out of the Animal Kingdom, I jumped into the exchange zone and when she saw me I got the biggest smile from her. And I saw this over and over as I was waiting for our exchange.

And of course, there was a proposal of marriage in the exchange zone too. That was pretty cool.

Have a good time you relay runners next January. I've done 3 long distance relays, and they were a a blast.
