Mara needs to be enlarged majorly!

Last time I was at AKL, I noticed how crowded Mara had become-especially the very long lines waiting to order food around meal time. I, and a few other people, gave up and got premade food from the refrigerator section rather than wait. Then I got to thinking-they've virtually doubled the number of guests that use Mara, with the addition of Kidani with no counter serve there. Yet they haven't made any changes in Mara to handle that big increase in # of customers. If I had any complaints about AKL (and the pluses FAR outway this one), it would be the size of Mara.

1) The problem is that it is really busy only a couple hours a day.
2) So, they space and manpower would be wasted.
3) Not counting the construction costs.
4) If most people still wait, then there would not be additional sales.
5) So, no cost justification for an addition.
6) If more people complained, maybe they would reconsider . . . . . . .

I forgot about that. At "off" times, I never waited.

We ate breakfast there 5 mornings in April and never had a crowd problem. My son sat at the same table in front of the tv (he just loves the old cartoons) and didn't have to wait long.

Come to think of it, we ate inside Mara only twice- the afternoon of check-in and the afternoon of checkout. Otherwise it was grab and GO or grab and take it back to the room.

I do agree, it's small

We came over from AK to eat and it was PACKED plus they lost our order.. but no more so than any other QS at mealtimes. The only thing that was different was all the people sitting at tables with pagers and no food... seems like a waste of real estate.
