Hi - I was wondering if anyone had any good links to AREA maps where the DVC resorts reside. More specifically, an overhead map of the resorts (and surrounding areas) near Epcot and DHS. I tried Google Earth, but there are several groupings of buildings that are not labeled. I see BWV, but that's about it. My thinking here is to see...if I buy at BWV, what is around me? What is within walking distance and what will require transporation? Can I walk to Epcot from here? No need to answer these questions as the map is really what I am looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EVERYTHING is labled in Google Earth. Altho you need to give GE plenty of time to load all the info. I go through these maps on a daily basis

Hey Carol - Robo's maps are pretty cool...I mean REALLY cool. I wish I knew how he did that. Anyway, the area around BWV, Dolphin, Swan and Epcot is probably my most familiar area. It's just about any other DVC resort in the area that I would like to see. Thanks for trying.

Mike - Is it not a super small world? I live in Plainfield. I was being really patient with Google Earth and never saw SSR, Beach Club, OKW. I'll give it another try. Thanks again.

FWIW, it is exactly what you asked for in your post - "More specifically, an overhead map of the resorts (and surrounding areas) near Epcot and DHS". You didn't ask for SSR or OKW (and most, including Disney do not consider those two to be EPCOT or DHS resorts).

You're right...I could have been more clear. In my mind, I am thinking how I want to see all of the DVC resorts in this general vicinity...and by general vicinity, I meant everything south of VWL.

I am trying to narrow my purchase of DVC, first by weighing location vs. accomodations. For example, I would sacrifice a nice pool if I could walk to Epcot or Downtown Disney. This is why I am trying to get an overhead view of all DVC resorts in this entire general area of the property. In any case, I found a decent map at the following link. Not great, but it's close.

I am sure you know this, but thought I would point it out again, just in case!

BCV has an AMAZING pool since you can use Storm Along Bay at YC&BC and it is in a location that allows you to walk to Epcot and The Studios.

Boardwalk Villas also is a short walk from Epcot & The Studios and I have heard great things about the pool there, but do not have any first hand knowledge of it.

We stayed at SSR over Labor Day Weekend and found the pools to be really nice, a few different options to choose from. What we liked the most, however, was the short walk to DTD!

While some of the structures are not identified, you can compare this view with the WDW map to understand what you are looking at. By manipulating the image, you can also see all other areas of WDW.

Thanks Doc,

Live Search is so much better than google for clarity and ease of movement...however...the problem is that they don't have labels for most resort buildings. The have the roads labeled, but unless the driveway up to the resort is called, for example, Coronodo Springs Drive, you don't know what the resort is.

By this point, I have seen what I need to see. Thanks All.

Yes, there is a walkway from BCV around the back side of BC leading to International Gateway.
