Maps and Brochures

Planning our first trip for late May. DS (5) LOVES maps. Is it possible in this day and age to get an actual brochure/paper map? I think that could keep him entertained most of the plane trip Thanks in advance.

They have paper maps of the parks readily available within the resort. You can pick them up when you get to the parks. If you asking about getting them beforehand, you'll either have to print ones yourselves or hope someone can mail you a set.

If he's a big fan of maps- ask a CM where maps in other languages are. I know for sure they have some in City Hall, but they may be available in other locations. They are essentially the same map- but if hes a map nerd like I am- he should love comparing the French, Spanish, and Japanese etc... maps to their English counterpart.

I know you can get them as you enter DL without having to go to City Hall. Head to the right tunnel (when facing the train station) and there will be a stand holding the brochures in multiple languages.

Thanks! I'll definitely look for them once we arrive. I was hoping it would be an option before we left so he could look at it on the flight there too.

I wanted some maps before we got there and called the Disney customer service number and they mailed me the maps of Disneyland, DCA, and Downtown Disney plus a bunch of other stuff.

My kids are obsessed with the maps and we grab a handful every time we enter. I save those we don't use and plan to make a book with them. They constantly look at the maps and love figuring out where we are and what we have done!

FWIW, it's also nice to send some sets out to others. Just another thing to do with the maps to help our fellow planners.

Alas I sent out my sets so unless you want some from years ago, I have nothing.

I also pick up extra maps each trip. I save a set for our next trip and the others I mail out to members as they request them. I'm also out of maps.

I'm sure you'll have someone send you a set of maps.

You're right, they do keep the kids occupied during travel.

Hi there I read your post last night and got two postcards for your son. One is a map of Southern, CA. Anaheim is shown. The other I thought he might enjoy because there's a red car and it show the route 66 states. If you PM me your mailing info, I will get them out to you next week.
