Maps & agencies for rental homes

I'm considering renting a home and would like to look at a map of where these houses are because they usually only list subdivision name such as Indian Ridge Oaks or Emerald Isle. Can anybody refer me to a map online that actually lists the private communities? Also if anybody who has rented can refer me to reputable rental websites, I would appreciate it!
