I have pretty open permission for people to use my shots as well. It's pretty interesting to see the different types of sites that use them. I was recently informed by a site owner that they used one of my pics on a blog that was basically all about 'benches'. Never would imagine a site that like existed. But it's actually very well done.

Benches.... you can really find anything on the internet, very democratic.

Far more flattering, some society for the Old South Meeting House in Boston actually contacted me for permission to use my photo in some literature for their annual meeting. But then they completely converted the image so it didn't even look like the original image anymore.

But yes, it's both fun and flattering when your photos pop up elsewhere. Of course, for professionals who made a living doing stock photography, it's a very bad trend.
