We are florida residents now and will be parking at ttc for a 7:30 am Ohana on my bday then monorail to mk for the day. I don't want to do valet at the poly solely because I want to be able to leave the park and come back if i want. My kids are very young; 4, 2 and 6 weeks. I have searched the threads and found there is a walking path from ttc to the Poly. I am concerned about this path and was wondering if anyone had a map of the grounds that highlights this path? Or if not, could the path be described? We don't want to walk along the water of the 7 seas lagoon.

Thanks in advance!

The easiest way would be following the sidewalk next to the street but with your young children I don't think I would advise that. I'd just take the first path from TTC onto the Poly grounds and follow the sidewalks among the longhouses. I don't have a map but if you stay on that path close to the street side the walk shouldn't be to long...and it's beautiful! :lovestruc If you walk close to the water the "journey" will be longer. I'd allow 15-20 minutes; it's not a short walk to the GCH but early morning shouldn't be to hot and, like I said, it's SO pretty! Happy birthday; enjoy Ohana and the MK. :cake: :tink:

Satelitte or Earth viewv on your online map of choice. You can see the little cross walk between TTC and Poly's walkways by I think Pago Pago longhouse when you zoom in.

It's short, well lit, well traveled, and away from water.

We took it frequently when we stayed at the Poly, at night, with young kids.

No reason for concern at all.

We were told the path by the road was shortest. When you get to the Poly, turn left and continue to follow the sidewalk.
There was one place were we had to cross a side road, but we have never seen any traffic there and we have done it multiple times. It isn't near the water.

Valet parking is good for the entire day, btw. You can leave and come back. Of course, you'd be expected to tip every tiime.

The path is no where near the water, or even in sight of the water.
It is quite dark in places at night (DH and I walked it Sunday night) but most of the dark areas are on the Poly property. The actual path that connects TTC lot to Poly grounds is very short. (if you look on the map linked the actual path is only 5 dots long. Most of the walking is done on Poly property. You come out at the edge of the DVC buildings and you can then take any number of paths to where you want to go.

By the way, please ignore the locations for Kona Cafe and Spirit of Aloha show on that map. It's way wrong. LOL

Thanjs guys. I looked it up on Google maps. It kind of looks like i park the car and I walk like I'm going to board the ferry but just keep walking?

Sorry my reply just posted and it was from way early in response to the first reply I received! Thanks so much for the info, we are not total newbies but certainly fresh to the whole resort system! Now that we'll be going weekly, I hope to be climbing the ranks of wdw knowledge! It will be my first time at the Polynesian ever, and a few days prior we will be dining at 1900 PF for the first time to celebrate our new home. Thanks, as always, fellow Dis'rs !:)

Oh! I had no idea! I'd of course tip every time. I just assumed it would be $25 everytime, didn't know it was good for the whole day. Our floridia resident annual passes cover parking at the parks though. So in this case, with the walk being easy and by all accounts lovely, might as well walk and leave the valet for another occasion. Great to know, though!
