When we were in a studio we were on the first floor (1020 or something), close to the pool. Do they have 1 br by that area?

Sigh....here we go again, with someone asking for a mythical (read: NON EXISTENT) publically available villa-by-villa BWV floor plan.

Everyone repeat after me:

NO - the 1997 (and never subsequently updated) spreadsheet (repeat, spreadsheet, not a map) that attempted to compile reports on SOME (repeat, less than a third) of villas at BWV is NOT a detailed floor-plan level "map" of every villa in the resort.

Instead, that "thing" - which someone inevitably puts a "here is what you want" link into in these threads -- is a fragmentary, outdated and grossly incomplete aggregation that actually contains erroneous info, in terms of views and distances to elevators. How so? Well, when we first stayed at BWV in 2001, I brought a copy along with me thinking it might be useful (in terms of evaluating potential villa choices for future stays). Once on site, after walking around with it for about 20 minutes I realized just how limited, incorrect and useless it was.

NO - just because published floor plans are out there for some other DVC resorts doesn't mean one "has" to be for BWV. Trust me, I've asked my guide numerous times, including last February when I saw her at WDW. IT DOESN'T EXIST.

NO -outside the grand villas, one cannot make generalizations about where certain categories of accomodations are at BWV. Want a studio, 1 or 2 BR? Just like jekjones1558 stated, they are "sprinkled around" everywhere.

The only published "map" of the Boardwalk is below. It identifies what sections of the resort are Inn vs. DVC, but is not a floor-plan level diagram of villa locations . Again, that doesn't exist.

First of all, I am not a veteran like yourself, so if I have a question to ask, I would appreciate that it is not met with didain!!

If you are sick of people asking this question, then don't reply to it. I have seen people recommend certain areas of other resorts and was just hoping for some expertise, as this will be our first stay in a 1 bedroom.

Yes there are ground floor 1 bedrooms near the pool. You can request that on your reservation. Of course you know the drill---It's only a request. Good luck!

I think you meant disdain; if so, the intent was not to go after the request but rather the typical responses to that particular one that always appear here. I'd rather point out what isn't available than have people (yes, who are working with good intentions) sharing outdated, incomplete material that doesn't even answer the original question!!

I as much as anyone would love it if detailed floor plans of BWV were readily available. But in all likelihood, unless a Disney employee grabs, scans and posts blueprints (or similar internal managment documents) of the buildings on the property, we unfortunately aren't going to see what both you and are want.

A disboard member created a spreadsheet for BWV based on posted room reports. Of course, it is unofficial and only includes rooms reported, not all. But it gives you an idea that they are spread out all over the resort.
