Many resorts are opened

Over the past few weeks I have noticed more and more rooms opening. Are people canceling because of Covid or is Disney opening more rooms?

Possibly both, although I know a few who have cancelled due to COVID.

We have the Boardwalk Villas booked for the 50th but are thinking about cancelling.

Probably cancelling. We are booked for Beach Club the weekend after the 50th and are probably going to cancel.

Opening of resorts is bringing more inventor. I’m sure COVID is some of it but not the driver.

Definitely. We've cancelled 1 trip since July and are considering cancelling early September.

Almost all resorts are open now except following so that explains more inventory. And yesterday Disney announced Revenue at Disney's parks, experiences and products segment jumped 307.6% to $4.3 billion, up from $1.06 billion during the same period last year so I don’t think enough people are cancelling to make a difference.

• October 14, 2021 – Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
• October 28, 2021 – Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
• December 9, 2021 – Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort

Those earnings would have been posted before things started deteriorating with the pandemic again. That would be quarter ending September 30th.

I don’t think covid spikes will hurt Disney attendance in any noticeable fashion. There’s been excitement on all the Disney blogs concerning the Christmas parties. I doubt Disney would keep adding events and opening resorts and restaurants if they feared they’d have no guests. Boo Bash tickets for Halloween night were $200 and sold out in 3 days and Disney had to add dates. You read more negative reports on these boards, but they are a small percentage of the thousands who visit WDW every day
