Lisa, must be nice to have so many choices. I just love hearing about large extended families who do so much for each other. Seems like a fairy tale to me. LOL

My sister and her fiance, who were supposed to be here on the 4th called early (before 6 am the next day) to announce that they were a couple of hours away and would be here to eat and spend the night. When I asked why they had not called to tell me that they were not coming when they had said they acted put out that I would bother them with such a thing. They were too busy having fun in Chicago and just did not get around to calling. (sigh) Is not the first, nor will it be the last time I fear. I got revenge though. LOL All my upstairs bedrooms are in disarray while I work on my renovations so no guest rooms were available. Instead of offering up our luxurious bed I gave them the L shaped couch. They slept fully clothed, on opposite sides of the couch, in a room with no door after not having been asleep for two days so my moral qualms about putting an unmarried couple to bed under my roof were moot. I am not actually that much of a prude but since this sister changes men more often than she changes her underwear it is a bit different. Lord knows I love my family but I do sometimes wonder if I am not a changling. Wistful thinking?

The Powerball is up to over 240 million and I have been doing my part and buying a ticket but have not won it as yet. I promise that if I win the whole thing or some significant part of it I will pay for an EWP get together in our Suite at our favorite place on Earth. Dreams!!!! Funny thing is that all that money would not change my life that much because I am actually happy in my home, if I could hire help, would only upgrade to a newer model of the car I already own and would just do more of the things I already enjoy. I am truly blessed. Happy people are those who are happy with what they have not getting more stuff. IMHO

More of my favorite people have passed away this week. I have been on Buddy Ebsen's site many times and was sad to hear that we had lost him. He gave much pleasure in his life and I am sure that he has gone to a great reward and enjoying a well deserved rest. I am going to show my grandson the movie of his dancing with Shirley Temple.

My oldest grandson won a second and third place at the fair today. Dalton will be showing a hog tomorrow. Austin is tentative and has trouble controlling his animals but I am willing to bet that Dalton's animal will behave, or else. I taught him how to add pictures to emails the other day and he is terrorizing everyone he knows with massive messages. His other grandma wanted him to show him how to do it and he was so proud that he knew something she did not.

Our plans are to spend a week at the Villages the beginning of November and then go over to Disney World for a couple of weeks, hoping to be able to see the Osbourne Lights. Would have to make another trip next spring and again next Fall so we would get our money's worth on the AP's. Might even check out Pop Century one of those trips. Would be lovely if Port Orleans is up and running on our later trip.

Lots of storms and rain around here. Hope everyone else is enjoying the weather they want or need.

Linda
