Does anyone have any recomendations on where to get manicures and pedicures the day before the wedding?

Did you use any of the Disney spas? If so how were they?

Did you go somewhere off Disney property?

Thanks!

I've been to a place off property by the Chelsea Premium Outlet shops, I mentioned it in a previous thread...

The Nail Place
8125 Vineland Ave
(407)2391799

They did a very nice job.

I had a mani/pedi at the GF spa. It IS expensive, but you can come early or stay late and use the spa facilities, which were very nice. Plus, my french pedi lasted forever.

I also got a mani/pedi at the GF spa the day of the wedding... but mani was completely gone 4 days later... the pedi held up though... Though I'm really rough on my nails in general, so it could just be me. My mom's mani lasted longer.

I did get an AP discount at the GF spa which helped a little...

How much is a man and ped at GF spa? Do they do fake nails? how much is that?

i'm gonna go on record and say that i am NOT a fan of the GF spa nor on the cruise ships for that matter. overpriced, mediocre quality and really pushy sales techniques. that said, for convenience sake, i did enjoy the facial i got at the GF spa, but i would dissuade anyone from doing any "day of beauty" stuff there and i think the nail services i had were 3x the cost and 3x LESS quality than a walk in nail salon.

i understand the saratoga springs spa is supposed to be great and i think there is something at like the swan and dolphin? somewhere....

i will be aiming to get a mani/pedi down there and i will go off property.

I had a pedi at the GF spa it was great and lasted ages.

Just to make my life easier I will probably go to the GF spa with my MOH and the moms if they want to come. I'm staying at the Poly.
How far ahead did you ladies book mani-pedi's at the GF?
Thanks :thumbsup2

I got myself and my FMIL manis at Periwig's at YC/BC the day before the wedding.
The service was good, the place was nice and small and quiet and relaxing. It was more than I would have spent at home, but the convenience of just walking from BWI where we were staying was wonderful. Afterwards we just took the boat over to DHS!

How much did a mani/pedi cost the YC/BC? That would be so much more convenient.

I'm booked to get my manicure done the day before at the GF Spa for convenience as we are staying there.

I don't know about a pedi, we only got manis, but I want to say it was $35? I can't remember for sure and prices may have changed since last year....

Thanks! We were thinking of doing it before we left which most likely still would but just incase i ran out of time its good to know there is a close option.

When I got married we went to the Spa @ Saratoga Springs which was nice, relaxing, and we took advantage of the DVC discount (which was 20% at that time).
The mom's, BM's, & my sis in law had Manis, pedis, and massages. My FG had a “My first Mani and Pedi” and I only had a massage and a French pedi b/c I had Pink and whites put on at my nail salon @ home.

I don't remember what each individual service cost. You can find out all the current prices at relaxedyet.com. I can tell you that they gave everyone a nail polish in their shade in case anything was chipped before the wedding as well as some other goodies. (noone's polish chipped and everything lasted a LONG while~ but it was a nice touch! :))

The Spa is wonderful and out of the way. We essentially had it to ourselves that whole morning/early afternoon which was a treat! The only drawback to Saratoga is that the nail treatment room is a little cramped. We all were in there to be with the FG (trying to get her out of her shell a little bit). But, once everone else’s appts began it was very smooth and I probably never would've noticed.

I’ve also been to Periwig’s at the Y&BC. It definitely is a salon- not a spa with 1 long, narrow, open room so if you’re wanting some privacy you won’t find it there. However, the staff was absolutely wonderful- atleast my person. First, my BFF and I were running late so Carol (my manicurist) went and got us OJ for our Moet (we never see eachother so it was a cause for a celebration!) while we picked our colors. My BFF and I had the same thing- a pedicure, added a hidden mickey. Carol gave me the tools she used and did both of our Mickey’s. Jenn’s lady did her pedi quick and didn’t give Jenn any of her stuff. It was strange. Nothing to throw a fit about..just strange. I still would go back there especially because of the location and they do a nice job. It's nice to treat yourself while on vaca especially with something girly and relaxing. :goodvibes
