My old, fogey husband thinks she is "copying" the Hall and Oates song in some way. I'm sure we was about 2 years old when that song was out!

Man...Daryl Hall gave the mullet a good name back in the 80s...

No, it really doesn't sound anything like the old Maneater tune--just uses the word a lot. It is kind of a cross between Gwen Stefani, Fergie, and (this goes WAY back) reminds me of that Dale Bozio (Missing Persons) from the VERY early 80s.
