Friday 11th August ~ Day 9
Well it had to happen, I get up early, have a shower, wash my hair and decide that Ill leave my hair to dry naturally and wavy, (so much for the new straighteners that I bought last night). Anyway we leave the Pop around 7.30am as it was EMHs at MGM Studios. The park wasnt too busy and we were able to ride Tower of Terror twice, RockNRollerCoaster twice and Star Tours once. We had our breakfast from the Starring Rolls Bakery of danishes, muffins and cookies with orange juice. I had another Cutie Goofy tattoo put on and we left around 12ish for some sunbathing around the pool at the Pop.
Later that afternoon we went to the Lake Buena Vista and Premium Outlets for a wander. The heat was really starting to get to the girls, so in the evening they decided that they would rather stay in and relax, so Paul & I brought some Chicken Strips back to the room for them and left them watching Scrubs while we caught the bus to Epcot.
We arrived at Epcot around 5ish, and went straight to Soarin to get a FP. We had a quick drink in the Rose & Crown, and decided to have tea in Morocco again. Once again we had a chicken & lamb platter (delicious) in the Tangierine Cafe.
When we had finished our tea, we decided that we would go through the International Gateway as we had never been through there before. We caught the little boat to the Boardwalk. It was so quiet there, so we wandered into the shops and took photos. We were really surprised at how close everything was as we walked from the Boardwalk, past the Swan & Dolphin and over to the Beach Club Villas.
Now I had heard about Beaches & Cream, and I really wanted to find it, so we went in and out of the resort and past some restaurants and then we eventually found it. I was surprised at how small it was, but it was really busy. We stood in the take out line and I looked around to see if anyone was eating the Kitchen Sink. Unfortunately no-one was having one, so I ordered my 3 scoop ice cream sundae to share with Paul. Well as the guy made it, there was hot fudge sauce all over the cardboard tray that it came on, I had 3 huge scoops of ice cream (2 vanilla & 1 chocolate) and about ½ a tin of cream sprayed on it followed by nuts and a cherry. It was absolutely delicious and I can honestly say that I ate 2/3 of it. After finishing our gorgeous dessert, Paul rolled me back to Epcot (LOL
).
We just got to Soarin on time for our FP time and then we caught the bus back to the Pop.
We really had a lovely evening, as we keep saying that this is how it will be when the girls have grown up (though the girls are under the impression that theyll be coming to WDW with us whatever age they are).
