Monday 7th August ~ Day 5
We had a bit of a lie in today, so we didnt get up till 8am. Me & Paul popped to the foodcourt to get breakfast and bring it back to the room, while the girls got ready. Paul dashed back to Wal-Mart to return the digital camera that he bought yesterday, and they changed it with no probs.
As Mousekeeping arrived to do our room, me and the girls went to the arcade so that the girls could win some more crowns and wands as they were meeting up with their friends in the Magic Kingdom tonight.
When Paul got back, we piled into the car and headed to Blizzard Beach. Even just after 10am it was already very busy. But luckily we found a quiet area, and I got my book out to relax (I read If you could see me now by Cecelia Ahern over this holiday, and I would thoroughly recommend it ~ its a wonderful book). Now we arent really a relax for hours by the pool kind of family, but we did go for a swim, float along the lazy river a couple of times and we did think about going on the family rafts, but it was a 45 minute wait and it was very hot.
We left around 1ish, had a quick McDonalds, got back to the Pop, had showers and then caught the bus to the Magic Kingdom.
We arrived around 3.30pm and the girls met their friends at 4pm outside Cinderellas Castle. We arranged to meet up at 10.15pm after Wishes. The girls went off with their crowns and wands, and once again me & Paul were on our own. Now Magic Kingdom isnt one of our favourite parks, and me & Paul were wondering what we were going to do for over 6 hours.
So first of all we went to get FPs for Big Thunder Mountain, we rode Pirates of the Caribbean (and briefly saw the Pirate Tutorial, where we saw the Captain Jack Sparrow guy who was spookily like him), we then did the Jungle Cruise, which we have never done before and we had a very funny guide on it. We then went for a Pineapple Float (gorgeous) and back to BTM to use our FPs and got FPs for Splash Mountain. We had chicken dinner for tea at Cosmic Rays. We rode the TTA, saw Mickeys Philharmagic, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain again, Pirates of the Caribbean again (as everyone was watching the parade, we had a boat to ourselves) and then Aladdins Magic Carpets ~ LOL.
The 6 hours flew by, we had a great time going on whatever ride we wanted, and we loved the Captain Jack Sparrow additions to the PotC ride. We also went in all the shops (I was ages in the Christmas shop looking for ideas for my Crimbo tree) and Paul decided that he wanted to collect all the Disney Bus pins that the CMs had on their lanyards (apparently there was a set of 5 buses to collect, and by the end of the holiday he managed to get them all).
We sat near Adventureland and watched Wishes (very nice) and we had a brilliant evening. We met up with the girls at 10.15am, theyd had a fantastic time, and loads of CMs and characters had made a fuss of them as they were wearing their crowns etc.
We said goodbye to their friends, and it was still busy, so we wandered over to Tomorrowland to get a frozen coke.
We got a coach back to the Pop around 11ish and were in bed around midnight.
We had all had a great day.
(sorry about lack of photos, we didnt take a camera to Blizzard Beach, and my night time photos didnt turn out very well at MK)
