Monday 14th August ~ Day 12

We were up early and had brekkie in our room and were heading out at 7.30am. Today we had got a full day organised. We were all dying to ride Expedition Everest again, so as it was EMH’s at Animal Kingdom we went there first. It was already very busy (blooming free dining plan), but we managed to ride EE twice. It really is an excellent addition to AK, and whereas before we wouldn’t go to AK every trip, I know we will now. We left at 9am and got to Typhoon Lagoon as it was still EMH’s there. We stayed for a couple of hours, the girls went in the wave pool, we did the Lazy River and once again we went on the raft (thankfully I didn’t get soaked this time, much to the others disappointment).

We went back to the Pop, and while the girls got showered, Paul sat out and I got on with some washing.

In the afternoon we went to MGM Studios to see some shows. Unfortunately Indiana Jones was standing room only, so we lined up in the rain for Lights, Motors, Action. Thankfully the show did go ahead, and was as great as ever.

When it finished we found we were too late to see the last Beauty & the Beast of the day, so the girls had their tea in Pizza Planet where we decided it was time to do our ‘Big Shop’ at DownTown Disney.

We spent a couple of hours at DTD, | bought a few bits and pieces for Christmas, some souvenirs for family & friends and I got my Autumn/Hallowe’en, Christmas Decoration and Secret Santa pressies for the Dis (woohoo, I can’t wait to send them).

So after spending far too many $$$ we went back to the Pop. Paul & I went to the foodcourt to get our tea. I wanted to try something different, so I tried the Nacho Supreme ~ it was nachos covered in warm melted cheese with onion and tomato pieces on it (something else that I will have again ~ delish).

After tea we went back to the room and had an early night.

Another fantastic day, Mandy. Nachos Supreme is my favourite!! I have to have this at least twice on every trip, with jalapenos on the side, heaven.
