Friday 11th June ~ High - Mid 90'sF

We woke this morning as the ship was reversing into Nassau. It was announced that a thunderstorm was approaching and within no time it was raining with thunder and lightning

We weren't in any hurry to get off the ship, so we had breakfast at the Beach Blanket Buffet, and sunbathed in the cloud once the rain had stopped

Around 1ish we disembarked and went to the Straw Market for a bag for Kerry. I really dislike the place, it's so hot and claustrophobic in there, and I was pleased when we found one that she would like

It was so hot, we needed liquid refreshment, and as we were so close to Senor Frogs, it would've been a scandal not to pop in

Does my bum look big in this chair ??

After a quick cocktail, we wandered back down the road, calling in at the souvenir shops then ended up at the Hard Rock Cafe. We bought some t-shirts from the shop, then went upstairs to the bar where a couple of Hurricanes were calling us. We shared some chicken tenders and onion rings while watching the Uruguay v France World Cup game

We headed back to the ship around 4pm and chilled in our room and chatted to the girls on Skype. We showed Kerry the bag we bought her, and told her that we'd bought her some knocked-off Uggs called Ugo's from the Straw Market (as she had some Ugg's on her shopping list), I don't think she believed us, but we had a good laugh teasing her about it. Then it was time to meet Capt. Jack Sparrow at 5.15pm. We also met Pirate Stitch and Mickey too

Tonight we had a 7pm reservation at Palo for dinner, so we got showered and changed and took the lift to Deck 10.

Once again we had Kim as our server (who was telling us that she will be heading to the Dream next year). First we ordered a bottle of Asti, then Kim brought out some bread and dips and some meats and cheeses

For starter I ordered the Grilled Portobello Mushroom and Paul had the Tuna Carpaccio. For mains I had the Palo Beef Tenderloin in Gorgonzola Sauce and Paul had a Lamb dish, Kim even brought over a portion of Lasagne in a bowl as she had remembered how much Paul had enjoyed it in the past

I couldn't wait for dessert, I had been dreaming about it for weeks and once again I thoroughly enjoyed the Tiramisu (with the hot coffee poured over it) Mmm, it was delish

Paul had the Panna Cotta, which didn't disappoint either. Between courses we were given various sorbets and we finished off with the vodka based sorbet drink

As you can probably gather, we had a great time

Anyway after our lovely meal we went back to our room to get changed as it was Pirate Night

We had a quick drink at Signals and then we went up onto Deck 10 for the Pirate Party, which was fun and the fireworks were good too

We had a nightcap in Diversions before heading to bed and finding tonights towel animal

Tomorrow ~ Castaway Cay ~ Woohoo !!!
