manditory draft

did any one hear about the manditory draft that is going to go into affect June 15th if the law is passed? it will make ALL men and women ages 18 to 26 to join military forces and u cant get out of it going to college or canada

i heard about that a couple months back, and was also worried, but everyone said that it's VERY unlikely. I hope so, cuz i really wouldn't want to be in the military either.

I hope not. I'm 16 now, so I'll be 18 just a little over a year after that, and I don't want to be drafted. Not everyone has the skills to be in a war.

Yeah it is a big controversy here on campus. We have someone coming to speak about it in the next week. I wouldn't worry about it. The likelihood of it getting passed is slim to none.

Oh man, I'd protest so much, in the sprit of the '60s. No one is sending me to Iraq, in a war I don't feel we should be in the first place.

It won't happen, neither Bush nor Kerry will support a draft. However, if I were drafted I would gladly die for my country.

i will almost done my college program.... then coming home for more school. heck if i am going to go to iraq. what about all the ROTC people that want to do this with their life?

Sorry i love ROTC people! i am going out with an ROTC person... its just this is what you all want to do with your life. if this draft comes about are you all going to be like HEY PICK ME?

No offense JOe. But I would never die for an unneccesary war I don't believe in. (I'm talking about Iraq).
