Mandatory Drill

I am going on the Wonder in early October, disabled adult. What procedures do I need to follow for the drill? I know some have posted to go down early but that does not help me to know what I need to do if something would actually happen.

I just came from the Magic returned Feb 3. I used a travel power chair on the cruise. A crew member came to our stateroom and got me. Then took me where I needed to go. Then before they released everyone from the drill he took me and other disabled ppl out first.

So just remind them you are disabled and will need assistance. I am sure I called guest services before the drill just to make sure what I should do. I knew where to go and probably could have gone on my own but they said to allow them to come get me and take me.

Also I was informed that if there was a true emergency that they would send a crew member to my stateroom to meet me there so I could get my life jacket, then again would escort me to where I needed to go and be.

We did not go down early. We waited till the alarm sounded. 95% of ship is using the stairs. Elevator is only to be used for people with mobility issues. I used a scooter. Looked on the room map of what floor we were to go to and took the elevator there. There are cruise staff standing everywhere to help you and point you in the right location. You look for you letter ot number can not remember which one.

They do let you leave first as to be able to get the elevators before the crowd.
