We'll be staying at BWV and I was really wanting to schedule an appointment for a massage for two at Mandara. I found the website that lists the pricing, but does anyone know how far in advance you can make appointments?

Also, has anyone ever got a massage there? How was it?

My Dh and I did the couples massage there about 2 years ago. I think we made the reservation 4 months ahead of time. I would just call and see but I'm betting they would book at least 6 months ahead.

The spa itself is very nice. Much bigger than the GF spa and much, much nicer! Have fun!

Oops! You are thinking of the couples one too? Here's how it was for us: We each went into our separate dressing rooms and then were taken to a single room with a jacuzzi. We relaxed in the jacuzzi for a while and then the attendants take you to an adjoining room together where two spa tables are set up for the massages. My only "regret" is that we didn't spend more time after the massage to relax in the facility. I was concerned about the price but I found it worth it.

I've never been to it, but when the resort got a full renovation a few years ago, a lot of money was spent renovating the as well - somewhere in the million range.

I've never heard bad about it.

I don't think it is really all that necessary to book way in advance. I had two massages last summer and was able to book them same day. Manicures were harder to book. They actually had a 15% discount coupon printed on the bottom of our receipt from pekabu so that took care of the required, added to your bill gratuity. Jennifer there is WONDERFUL! I really recommend her if she is still there. They do try to get you to buy products but are very polite when you say no thank you. The place is unbelieveable. You just can't describe it. Even pictures would not really show the true scale and beauty of the place. And it smells like heaven.
Have a fabulous time!

Awesome...thanks for the replies.

My only other question is this: When I do book an appointment, do I give them a credit card to hold the reservation? And if so, am I correct in the thinking that they only charge it if you don't show up or if you want to pay via credit card? I ask because I would prefer to pay cash the day of.
