Hi all.
Have promised my son a manatee swim this year. Something we have meant to do each visit but never got round to. Found good reviews on Trip Advisor on a few firms in Crystal river, but they are self drives and hubby is not quite keen on the drive.
Any one know of any good transport operated firms who only seem to give 1.5 hours manatee swim, the good reviews all seem to be for self drive sites.
If anyone has done the drive, is it easy to locate, only really driven to Daytona and Fort Lauderdale outside of main Orlando.
Going mid November by the way.

Hi, we did one through gator tours, but it was a few years ago now. The tour involved wet suits, the swim, and then a trip to Homassa (? spelling) natural park. It was one of our best days :goodvibes
but like i said it was a few years ago now:sad1:

Hi,

My husband and i did it a couple of years ago. We booked it through Virgin. I think it was around £50. We got picked up from our hotel, taken for an all you can eat breakfast. They drive you to Crystal River where you swim with the manatees. You go on an airboat ride too. This was amazing. Then you go for an hour at a zoo where they give you a packed lunch. It was an amazing day and a real good price. We didn't notice the journey either because they were playing films in the coach the whole way.

Crystal River is amazing and the airboat was a real plus x

Cheers :cool1:

Did you think the manatee swim was long enough?, on the combined tour.
Just wondering if the self book would be better, or if it was long enough.
xx
