man bags

Exactly, that transformed the "satchel" into sexy, adventurer gear.

As far as I'm concerned that is all Indy needed to wear; whip, gun and satchel!! (OK, so I did like his adventurer clothing too...)

Well my two21yo college sons are watching me on the site and want one for themselves. Haha.
If I get it I will include a nice water bottle, a starbucks mug, some granola bars, a copy of Wired, some gum, etc. I'm also going to put in pics of indy, Jack Bauer and some other manly men carrying their purses. Our family gift exchange is a time for humor so if he doesn't like it everybody will get a kick out of it.

He lives in Ithaca, NY. Anybody familiar with the town? It's a bit different there. He's a granola loving, vegan who likes to look kind of yuppy ish. Not really metro, not really hippy. Just earth loving responsible, he carries a water bottle everywhere and would never use anything disposable unless it could be recylcled. He probably will love it but the manly men in the family will probably tease him.

I feel like this :scared: when I see a guy with a purse (unless he is uncomfortabley holding it for his wife while she tries on clothes....that's acceptable:lmao:)

My DH wouldn't think twice about carrying my purse or camera bag for me but a "man bag" no way, no how, wouldn't be caught dead with one.:lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

On a serious note, purses for women are personal taste and I wouldn't want someone to pick one out for me as I'm super picky. I tell men that's just not something you buy as a gift unless the woman is there to pick it out. I would think the same rule would apply here.

The problem with giving him a bag is what shoes does he have to go with it?;)

LOL I couldn't even get my hubby to carry the diaper bag LOL

Haha mine wouldn't either but I do know some men who would probably carry a man bag. I only know one man personally who does carry one occasionally. :upsidedow

Sorry, but my husband would rather throw himself into oncoming traffic than wear a "man bag". popcorn::

I agree!! And I would rather throw myself into oncoming traffic than be SEEN with a guy carrying a purse (AKA "man bag")

Back to Indiana Jones ( I like that topic). THIS is a man that can carry a man bag successfully. Other guys....not so much.

My husband, the very macho football coach, would probably leave me if I bought him one. The answer would be a big fat NO from me.

Have you seen the Progressive commercial where Flo tells the man he can stop holding his wife's purse? The wife says, "It's a European man bag." The husband then says, "It was a gift" and indicates his wife bought it.

I think most people would react like Flo and the husband. It's a purse.

Oh, and DH holds my purse in public if I ask. He just wouldn't want one of his own.
