I love this movie do you and what did you think of it being a film not talking about the stage musical the movie was released back in 2008 starring Meryl Streep, and a all star cast anyway post your thoughts on this brilliant movie.

I love this film ~ it's what I call a real feelgood movie. :goodvibes

Not seen the musical but would like to.

Oh yes definetely one of the feel good films. Didn't think much of Pierce Brosnan singing though. I still see him as James Bond. :lmao:

I have seen it on stage it was wonderful anyway what is your favourite moments in Mamma Mia The Movie I liked Benny playing the piano during Dancing Queen even though he and Bjorn did cameos. Did you notice them?

I like this fillm too. Love all the old songs remember them from the first time they were released. Pierce Brosnan really cant sing I just think of him as Remmington Steele, that just makes me feel old :eek:l

Gonna be in the minority here, but I absolutely hated it - regretted the £5.00 or so I had paid to see it and will always miss that 2 hours of my life that I will never get back. :sad2:

I found it contrived, badly acted (and even more badly sung ;)), and real cringeworthy - felt like I was watching my Dad dance at a wedding. I know I am in the minority here coz everyone in the cinema seemed to thoroughly enjoy it, but for me, never, ever again. :headache:

well wow that was harsh it's great to me the film in my opinion your opinion may differ

You did ask for people's opinion on the film - and not everyone will like it, so they're just saying it as they see it.

For me, I liked the film, it was very catchy and entertaining. No-where near as good as the musical version on stage. That was fantastic!!

what did you think of the acting in Mamma Mia the movie?

In parts ok, many parts, it was very cheesy! But, I do believe that was intended by the film makers.

Some parts of the singing were very cringeworthy, Brosnan just wasn't cut out for singing, he should have stuck with 007! :lmao:

I have never watched it and don't intend too. Not my type of film.

You did ask for people's opinions, that was mine. I'm sure there is a film that I adore that other people didn't enjoy at all.

I LOVE this film!! I agree that the acting and songs are cheesy but I still think its fab, it gets me in the holiday mood :cool1:

well I don't care if the acting and singing was cheesy is that such a bad thing sure are those songs from ABBA suitable for actors and actresses to sing?anyway also I think the film has heart and humour.

Star, please don't think people are getting at you and your opinions. In your original post you asked what WE think, in general, people's opinions vary a lot.

As a previous poster said, a film that we adore, you may dislike. Everyone is entitled to what they think of Mama Mia.

You're not the only one ;)

I've heard the soundtrack quite a few times and, as mush as I like the "real" Abba songs, I don't particularly like Mamma Mia because it just doesn't sound right :thumbsup2
