Has anyone done this preferred seating package for the lunch seating? I just booked it. F! is at 6:30p and our lunch ressie is at 1:35p. Since dinnertime is out of the question here, I decided to do it for lunch so we could do some more in the park after our meal then head over to the F! theatre.

If you have done this, I would love to hear how it all worked out. This is a last minute change of heart (we go in Jan.) on F! as I have never wanted to deal w/ the crowds on a day where F! is showing. However since we have the *free* dining this time, I thought maybe we should take advantage of it, as who knows if we will get it again! Thanks all!:thumbsup2

I have a 2:15 adr with the Fantasmic pkg for 6;30 show on 12/28/10. have always done dinner one so this is new for me also, we are heading over to a very late dinner at CG after Fantasmic show(9:15). I am planning on touring as much as we want in between lunch and show, don't know when Osbourne Lights turn on then..might be an idea if early enough.

Where is CG? Just curious! Thanks for your input. Have a fun time, let us know how your ADRs work out!

Hi, just a quickie please, I thought the Fantasmic Dinner Package consisted of seating where you could watch the show whilst having dinner, but I noticed you have both made bookings for lunch and afternoon, please could you tell me what the "package" is :confused3

TIA Debs xx

Yeah it's a little confusing. What I understand is that you eat at MM, Brown Derby or Hollywood & Vine (only the 3) and get a voucher for the preferred seating area. At least 30 mins. before the show is scheduled you go an sit in the preferred seating area. The line to get seated will be a lot shorter than the general seating area. Depending on how busy DHS is that day is when you would decide how soon to go and sit, is what I'm thinking. I know that when we are going in mid Jan. F! is only showing 2x a week and at 6:30p. W/ that, I didn't really want to eat dinner at 3:30, so the Dining CS lady suggested a late-ish lunchtime. That way we can eat and go and do other stuff before the show, should have about 3-3.5 hrs. to do more @ DHS after eating lunch. It just seems a little weird, so that's why I started the post. HTH!

That's great thank you, I will def look into booking it nearer the time :thumbsup2:yay:

We had an ADR at 3:55pm for an 8pm Fantasmic show the last week of September (also free dining time).

The crowd at DHS was really not that bad. We got to the show about 30 mins early to get seated in the preferred seating area. We were able to do a couple things between dinner and the show. We really enjoyed it and have already decided to do the dinner pkg at MM again next year.

When I made my lunch ressie, the cast member said that our tickets were preferred seating for Fantasmic package, and that was only the 3rd time she's ever seen that pop-up on the computer and it sounds like it's something "above & beyond" what you usually get.

Anybody know what that means?

Nah that just sounds weird!

I wish they would change the restaurant choices for the F! package. I have no interest in any of those restaurants- have eaten at MM and H&V and didn't care for either of them. And I don't want to use two credits to go to the Brown Derby. I guess they keep these three restaurants as the package because otherwise people would not want to go to them :confused3

I would be all over it if they had Sci-Fi or 50's PTC as available choices. I'm debating for my next trip whether to do the F! package or not due to the restaurant selections.

We did the preferred seating for both Fantasmic and Finding Nemo at AK. Honestly, as far as line and actual seats...the package for Fantasmic is not really any better than just going without it. In fact, they seat you off to one side instead of dead center. (so not great seats) For Nemo though, I would HIGHLY recommend that package for the seats! You can not get better seats than with that. However, if you are interested in the food at Mama Melroses... the fact that you get an appetizer with the meal (and on the dinning plan, you can choose the ones that are intended for two people like the antipasto plate) it is well worth it. For me, I would do the package again just to get the appetizer. (cause I would go to Fantasmic with or without the package)

HTH :goodvibes
