I looked back almost 10 pages and didn't see anyone mention this one.... is it good? The pork ossobuco (I'm sorry, I know I spelled that wrong) sounds good.

We have an early dinner reservation at Sci Fi on an EMH evening for Hollywood Studios, but was thinking about Mama Melrose instead, because instead of 4:10 I could get closer to 6.

Thanks!

We love Mama Melrose! We went in with low expectations and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, the great service, and the nice relaxed atmosphere. Everyone at our table of 8 really enjoyed their meals, and we had everything from steak, pork, fish, and traditional pasta dishes.

It is one of our favorites in DHS, we go every time. The kids love the spaghetti & Meatball cupcake that they get ( Dad likes it too). ;)

We love MM too! They have great vodka sauce! Yum!! We have gone 3-4 times and have always had a great meal! Enjoy!

I went to Mama Melrose about 10 years ago and thought it wasn't bad. In August, our family chose MM for the fantasmic dining package for a late lunch. I'm sorry to say that it was the worst food and service we had in our entire 7 day trip. The kids really did not like it at all. Next trip we will do CS for lunch (DHS does have some good options there) and head to a resort for dinner.

there in June with the F! package and enjoyed it. It wasn't outstanding but good.

The osso bucco wasn't available at that time or I would have had it. The few reviews I have read have been very positive.

We had a very nice dinner there. I had the flatbread. It was pretty good. I'd definitely go back.

We go there almost every trip and really enjoy it. Love the Penne alla Vodka! The flat breads are delicious too.

Thanks for all the input! I appreciate it very much!

I think I am going to keep sci-fi, just because of the kids (6,3,1 at time of travel) and add MM to my list of places to try next trip- really trying to not eat at any places we ate at last time this trip, except O'hana for breakfast and I'm even thinking about changing that one to 1900 Park Fare.

I don't know............ we have Tony's one night, so I'm thinking about changing that to MM, and then something else the night I have Tony's booked- maybe something at a resort, but I'm so confused on which one
LOL.

since I have been to Tony's but MM was much better.

You can check out Whispering Canyon Cafe. It seems to be love it or not kind of place. It should be entertaining for your kids. Kona and Grand Floridian Cafe are also good restaurants near MK.

If you have a wait at MM see if you can get your kids seats near the kitchen. They have a couple. Watching the cooking can keep them entertained.

We ate there in Jan and loved it. I had the Chicken Parm and it was delicious. I will definitely go back there.

We do not really care for SciFi...the cars are cute but the food is nothing to write home avout. PrimeTime Cafe is good and fun also.

We just went and my husband had the pork ossobuco. The waitress asked him how it was and he said that he thought it was a bit tough and more bone than meat. He wasn't thrilled with it. But she told him that it was new on the menu and they were still perfecting it, so I wouldn't rule it out.

I haven't eaten at MM but wanted to say that we just got back and had eaten at Sci Fi and we LOVED it! The shrimp pasta was amazing! I think I had about 15 big shrimp! My boys loved the cars and the milkshakes were thick and so so good! We also had great service. You will enjoy! I think we will try MM next time.

We've had one really nice meal there and one that was a bit off. The off one was when both the appetizer and main course showed up at the same time.
