Any recent reviews or pictures from Mama Melrose in DHS? I have an ADR for lunch. What is it like? Is it like your everyday Italian restaurant or is there DHS "magic" to enhance you dining experience? Like at Prime time and Sci fi.

We had lunch at MM in June and it was pretty good. My pics and reviews are in my June link

we had dinner there in September and really enjoyed it.

Would say it's like an old-neighborhood Italian place.

We enjoy lunch there. Good flatbreads, calamari, a sausage dish that one son likes.

Two great servers work there...Dori and Kevin.:goodvibes We've had good service from others as well.

There isn't any gimmick. Just a pleasant respite in the middle of the park. As catne said, it's like an old fashioned neighborhood spot. Fun music too.

there's a great artisan bread/spreads appetizer i'm looking forward to trying when we eat there next month!

We have always had great food and service at MM for lunch. We like to split a few appetizers and flatbreads, that way you get to try a little bit of everything.

It is a nice atmosphere, there are lots of Hollywood memorabilia to look at on the wall-great for those of us with a short attention span. ;)

Just ate there Monday night. It was very good. We had calamari, fresh mozzerella and tomato appetizer. DD had the minestrone soup which she loved. The Chicken Parm was good. Hubby had steak and DD had the shrimp fra diablo and loved it too. Desserts were good too. We had the tiramisu, and lemon custard.

We dine there almomst every trip and always enjoy it. Looking forward to it in 3 weeks! :thumbsup2

It was OK. Ambience is that of a neighborhood Italian restaurant, but the food is a little more "authentic" than the decor suggests. Decent quality, reasonable prices.

If on the DDP, I'd take the boat over to Epcot for Tutto Italia over Mama Melrose's every single time (unless you were doing the Fantasmic dining package). If paying cash, Tutto is rather more expensive.
