On our recent trip during the FreeDDP and LDW:
Mama Melrose
DH: Calamari/steak and polenta/gelatto-he loved the calamari and steak, but did't finish the gelatto(just not tasty enough to compel him to finish)
Kids: Cheese/Pepperoni pizzas, one got ministrone and one got garden salad, and the ice cream sundeas.
Me: Artisian Bread selection/steak and polenta/ricotta cheese cake.
We checked in 5 minutes early, but there was a 20 minute wait at 5:30.
First of all, DH who orders his steak MR and I order mine M both came out great. The polenta was(as usual) very tasty and the aspargaras was delicious too. Our server was Sam, he was very nice, personable and attentive. A carrier brought our foods from the kitchen, there was a small mistake when she brought the apps...she brought 2 kids salads, instead of a ministrone, so he had to wait a while. When the ministrone came my son loved it. My artisan breads also came late(after everyone was finished their apps) so they all enjoyed mine too. There was several breads, the usual red and green dips that used to come when it was always served to everyone, but then there was also a roasted garlic and a artichoc(sp) dip too. Everyone loved the garlic! Kids loved their ice cream and I really enjoyed my ricotta cake. We were finished at about 7:00-which seemed long to me. This is one of my favorite restaurants at MGM and only drawback is the location in regaurd to the Fantasmic show to follow. We had FP for Star Tours(no wait-walk on) and did the Muppets(walk on with ony a 5 minute wait for preshow), just as we came out it started pouring-we had ponchos, so kept procceding to the Gas station. When we got there at 8pm it had just stopped raining-we decided to skip Fantasmic since I was afraid of more rain and all the seats being wet, and the possibility that it still might be cancelled.
