Mama Melrose FDP reservation for 4, but we now have 6!

Hey there. I made our ADR for the Mama Melrose FDP many months ago for our trip in a couple of weeks. We are super excited that my parents have decided in the last couple of days to join us for part of our trip. I was able to rearrange all of our other ADR's except for our FDP.

Do you think there is any chance that they would accommodate our full party or are we pretty much out of luck? Any tips on how we could accomplish this? Should I swing by the restaurant earlier in the day to explain the situation or just talk to them when we check in?

My parents don't really mind missing the meal too much, but it is there first night at WDW with us and I'm sure my kids would really love to have dinner with Grandma and Grandpa!

The CMs will do their best to seat your whole group, but you will need a larger table and depending on what day you're going you could be coming up against all the SWW people who will be at DHS and might want to see Fantasmic in the evening or just eat at MM.

I would keep trying multiple times a day online to see if you can book either a party of 6 or a party of 2 that is close to your current res time. Be sure you're booking the F!DP and not just a regular res at MM. If you can get a table for 2, you can ask when you check in if you can be seated together. Also, if you're able to get a reservation for 6, don't forget to cancel your current res for 4 because it does have a cc guarantee.

Although you said your parents wouldn't mind missing the meal don't forget they would not be able to get in line with you for Fantasmic if they don't do the F!DP so not only would they not dine with you, they wouldnt be able to see Fantasmic with you.
