Are there certain hours for dinner that you are able to get tickets for fantasmic while dining at Mama Melrose? It has been posted that you much dine early for dinner at Hollywood and Vine to get the package tickets and I was wondering if the same applies for MM.

There are a limited number of Fantasmic Dinner Packages available at Mama Melrose and at Hollywood & Vine (for 1 table service credit if you are on the dining plan) Hollywood Brown Derby is also available, but that's quite a bit pricier (2 Table Service per person on the Dining Plan or high $$$ if you're paying cash.) You have to call for reservations in advance (90 days) and request the Fantasmic dinner package. They will take a credit card number to guarantee the reservation (you'll be charged $10 per person if you do not show up or do not cancel in advance)

The Fantasmic dinner package time slots go from 3:30 until 5:30 (no later) Of course the reservations for 5:00 through 5:30 are the most popular so they book very quickly. If you're calling at the earliest opportunity for the farthest out date you may be lucky enough to get a later time slot. You pretty much have to take what they have, though because the packages sell out completely.

I believe it would refer to all three restaurants that offer the Fantasmic Package. They are giving you plenty of time to eat and get to the Fantasmic Show. I believe the latest adr is about 3.5-4 hours prior to the show. Since it is for the early show (if there is two in one night - not very common now), the adrs are usually early. Our usual adrs are between 4-4:45pm for an 8:30pm show. For the past 2 years, we've only reserved the Fantasmic Package at MM.

This is more important than ever now since even if you have the Fantasmic Package seats, you have to go in at least 45mins in advance. We loved the old way to do it, where we had a separate entrance. We used to get to the seats around 20 mins before and there were plenty of seats. On our last vacation, we were told that it would be best to get there no later than 45 min (and have to go through the general entrance) before because they open the reserved seat to the general seating at 30 mins. However, I'm not sure when they did do this, but at some point there were a whole crowd of people making their way over when it was close to show time. I think it's losing it's value in this case for us.
