Question,
We did this last year and LOVED it, but I have seen some things on the boards that indicate menu changes might have changed. Can you really only have one desert choice? How different is the menu if you do the package and use the dining plan vs. just going to Mama's and then waiting in line for Fantasmic? How bad is the line really in June?? Advice/Experiences wanted please. THANKS!

Lesley

I ate there with the package last week. We got one flatbread and then pick our entree and then we picked our dessert from the dessert menu. We had a few choices.

I just booked the package for May and they said the dessert was only tirimisu.

Who is the "they" that said it was only tirrimasu? I went last year and got to choose off the menu too, I may just wait in line for FAntasmic, how bad is the wait, anyone know??

You currently get a choice of about 5 desserts; however, I don't think they are the "regular" menu size. They appeared to be smaller versions. However, I had never eaten at MM before so I cannot confirm this.

We had a choice of gelato, chocolate cake, cheesecake, a cobbler/crisp type of dessert, and the tirimisu!

Actually I called Disney Dining today and they said that the Terramisu (I know I am spelling this wrong) is the only offering with the Fantasmic package, so I guess we'll just have to see.

I think it's mis-information as I just ate there November 27 with the FANTASMIC PACKAGE and had my choice of gelato, chocolate cake, cheesecake, a cobbler/crisp type of dessert, and the tirimisu.

I guess you'll find out when you get there.

I'm just wondering if everybody on this thread is clear about the difference between eating at MM with a Fantasmic Dining Package vs. just a regular meal there.

Here's what allearsnet.com has to say about the FDP at MM:
Mama Melrose $28.99 adult/$10.99 child (3-9) not including admission, tax, and gratuity. Your choice of one wood-fired flatbread to share from Mama's rustic on-stage kitchen, as well as family style salad, and choice of entree. Dessert: Mama's signature Fantasmic! Tiramisu. Adult beverages NOT included. Child's meal includes beverage.

There are, however, 5 different desserts offered on the regular menu.

I saw the subject line of this thread and replied since I ate there last week WITH the package.

Yes, I too am aware of the difference. Thanks. We ate there last year with the package and were handed a different menu with the package but also had our choices of several different deserts, so I'm hoping that didn't change.

Yes, we were also handed the special Fantasmic menu last week!!

Ok, good to know, and thanks. Looks like you and I were posting at the same time - I hadn't seen your reply yet when I asked the question :)

My response was with the Fantasmic Dinner package, eaten on November 22 at 3:40 p.m.

All the online sites say that only the lady finger dessert is offered; I can only say what WE were offered with our Fantasmic Dinner package. It wasn't the regular menu.

Family salad, one shared flatbread, choice of entrees, choice of five desserts.
