We are thinking of doing the package but are a bit confused. I know its is an appetizer, entree, dessert & drink.

We will not have a dining plan and see the package costs $44.99 a person. Is that for any entree & appetizer on the menu?

Yes, you get to choose any app, entree, and non-alcoholic drink. They will bring a dessert platter for the table to share. Kids have to order off the kid's menu.

Yep you can choose anything. Last week our waitress even encouraged us to order the flatbread as our appetizer. She also hinted to order the most expensive meal though we didn't. Too much food to get the flatbread plus an entree! I expected a dessert variety to share with my daughter but they gave us each a little platter with three desserts on it. Still was a ton of food but we generally liked the meal

If the menu isn't to your liking, you think it would be too much food or you think it's too expensive, you could try to get a FP for the show instead. You won't have the premium seating area, but FPs are frequently available as a 4th or 5th ADR into the afternoon.

FPs are frequently available as a 4th or 5th ADR into the afternoon.

We are spending most of that day at the resort and won't head over to HS until about 3:00. So I figure all the FP+s for F! will all be gone by the time we ride Toy Story, Star Tours, and the Tower. My solution is the dining package. We love Italian food, so that is not a problem.

yes the kids do too...our grandkids got salad for one of them and the other got cut up veggies with ranch dressing...we loved the steak and mac and cheese...it was delicious..

The portions are so big here, unless you are a big eater or don't mind carrying around or trashing left overs, get the package. I skipped it because imo it's only worth it if you order the most expensive meal and can eat a large portion.

I really enjoyed my Chicken Parmigiana here, way better than the Chicken Parmigiana at Via Naopoli.

Same thing happened to us in February. We have done the package many times, but this was the first time we were told about getting the flatbread as appetizer. They were delicious, but it was way too much food then.

I paid for this package on my second trip to WDW and it was disappointing. Much too expensive for light/moderate eaters. I felt like I was wasting money when I could have selected the FP for F! instead.

Yea we weren't really a fan of the mini desserts they had. The only interesting part was one had these little beads that when you but into them a burst of juice squirted out. Those were cool. I expected them to be a gel consistency and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of them. But the rest of the desserts were meh including whatever the beds were on.
