I am wondering how late MM does Fantasmic package dinners? We are going in November and Fantasmic is at 6:30 - does this mean the latest dinner is at 4:30? Thanks

I'd say probably yes - or maybe even earlier. Ou F! night was 8:30 (and 10) and we got the latest dinner at 5.

We did Fantasmic Package in January for a 6:30 showing and the latest seatings were at 4:00, regardless of restaurant chosen (that's what we were told, anyway.)

The seating philosophy is based on the idea that all Fantasmic dining package people have to be guaranteed done with their meals and out of the restaurants in time to show up at the theater approximately 60 minutes before show time. So they want to make sure you're all done by 5:15 at the latest to allow walk-time to the theater. So, 4:00 ADR, seated at 4:10, give or take...an hour to order, eat, settle up...you're moseying out of restaurant around 5:15...just in time to walk to the theater for the show.

We didn't particularly want to be eating dinner at 3:50 (the latest available when I called for our package) but Disney Dine person suggested maybe we should do a Fantasmic lunch seating instead (I think we ate at 1:15) which worked out really well. We did that, and then just had a snack around 5:15 before heading into the show. We had a nice relaxing dinner elsewhere at 8:30 that night, after the show.

Can we just order appetizers vs getting an entire meal?

Our current reservation is 2:55. I don't want to do lunch as we have another meal for lunch that day and I don't anticipate being very hungry at 2:55.

Thanks!

Thanks, we will definately try for the 4 o'clock reservation. I don't mind doing an breakfast/lunch and then early dinner and maybe a snack before bed.

Thanks

You can order apps only if you want but the F! dinner package is a prix fix price at all the restaurants you pay a certain about and can order (app, entree, dessert) except HWV buffet. So the only thing you save by not getting everything is tip money.

You will pay for the entire meal regardless of what you order...at all three restaurants the Fantasmic package is a fixed price deal. Can't remember the exact prices, but the approximate costs are something close to this: Hollywood & Vine buffet $32; Mama Melrose $38; and Hollywood Brown Derby, $50. If you're on the dining plan, H&V and Mama Melrose are 1 TS credit each, the Brown Derby is 2 TS credit per person.

I would cancel the lunch if I were you...and just have a snack around 11:30 or so. Would be a total waste of money to pay for Fantasmic package and just get appetizer (which, by the way, on the fixed price you get an appetizer, an entree, a dessert and a non-alcohol beverage...your choice from the full menu.)

you wouldn't save any money at all...even if you just order the single appetizer, it will ring up as the full price of the package.

Thanks everyone I missed that the Fantasmic package had a set price. Looks like I'm making changes to my plan.
