Hi all,

As you can probably tell, I'm currently planning our Aulani/oahu trip and I had planned to go to Leonards for their famous Malasadas.

But I see that you can get them from the Ulu Cafe at Aulani, and I'm wondering therefore whether we should just try them there?

Or is it worth a trip to Leonards?:thumbsup2

I didn't try the ones at Aulani, but you have to try Leonard's. There's a Leonard's Malasada Mobile about a 10 minute drive from the resort. Google it on yelp. Totally worth it when you do a grocery run.

Thank you for posting:thumbsup2 we are staying in Waikiki before our Aulani visit, so could easily stop at leonards on the way across - if it's worth the trip then we'll make it happen!:thumbsup2

Definitely, Leonards! It will be an easy stop on your way from Waikiki. Neither my husband and I are donut-type people but these were awesome. We went back a second time.

We stopped on our way out of Waikiki and it was the best. Got to Aulani with our box and all the cast members were commenting on them. They were very good. Ended up eating them for breakfast the next 2 mornings. Well worth the stop but parking can be difficult. As we drove up a spot opened up, so we lucked out!

Go to Leonards! Just got back home Sunday from an amazing trip to Aulani. We stopped at the mobile truck in the Lowes parking lot about 10 minutes away. They are made fresh and the price is so much cheaper then Ulu Café. Yum. I could eat one now.

Advice from a local goto Leonards. The original one is on Kapahulu blvd right on the way to H1 freeway to get to aulani. It is about 10 minutes from waikiki right below diamond head. They also have a mobile one at Waikele Shopping Center which is about 15 minutes from aulani. Great for a quick fix if you dont want to drive all the way to waikiki. Though the original bakery on Kapahulu has more than just malasadas. They are a full bakery and make some great baked goods as well. Try the cinnamon sugar ones and the cream filled malasadas.

Thank you everyone - we are staying in Waikiki prior to Aulani, so will definitely stop by to pick up some breakfast treats!:)
