I plan on taking our stroller from home but even doing that I am sure there will be another like it in the park. What do you do to make your stroller stand out in the crowd?

We got a mini-license plate (Disney Princess of course) with DD's name on it. We put in on the strap (we have a Maclaren) with safety pins.

When we took our GS to WDW in August, my daughter was concerned about a new stroller she had just purchased for the trip, after reading these boards I came across a great idea, we made 2 signs (with our last name, spelled out vertically) and laminated them, using 2 wire ties on each handle put the name tags on it, for 2 purposes, 1- to identify our stroller, and 2- If someone was to "mistakenly" take the stroller unless they carried a pair of scissors they would not be able to remove the tags. Also the 2 tags did not interfer with opening and closing the stroller (as one big tag would). Worked out perfectly.

We tied a purple bandana around the handle and tied a balloon to it. We had no problem spotting it. I was worried about it too, it is a Maclaren and seems to be a popular stroller at Disney.

We had a rainbow bandana on ours. Try to find the most unquie bandana/scarf out there.

We bought a pack of colored electrical tape (yellow, blue, red and green) and used it to make "racing stripes" on the handle, front safety bar, and legs, that way I could see it from every angle.

We bought Bright Lime Green ribbon and tied it to the handles and the carrying strap. VERY easy to spot..lol

Yep, another bandana user here. Just bought a bright orange one yesterday to tie on the handles. Have also used lime green. Like someone else said, just try to find a unique one.

A good friend of mine had a rental, and of course they all look alike. She got hers stolen a couple of times. So not only did she buy something bright to tie on, she bought some chocolate, smeared it in a diaper and put it in aplastic bag and hung it from the stroller. Now I am sure people thought she was crazy carrying a "poopy" diaper all day, but not one person stole her stroller!!!

I'm another one for the bandana trick. I brought 2 brightly colored leopard print ones with me. I got them from Wal-Mart for less than a $1 each. I figured for that price it wouldn't matter if they got wet (gotta love those surprise showers) or dirty. I thought I would tie it on the rental strollers, but we wound up buying one from the resort giftshop instead. My DD had a little cold and wasn't feeling too well when we arrived and money-wise it worked out the same or better to buy rather than rent.

Loud colored bandana. That is definitely a great tip if you are renting a stroller. Often CMs will move the strollers to the right parking area, when you exit an attraction and there is a sea of like strollers it is difficult to find yours even though they have the name on the back. This saved us a lot of time. :thumbsup2

Is it safe to leave a backpack in the stroller when you go on a ride-? If you take your own stroller do you lock it ? TIA, Jen

I do not recommend leaving valuables in the strollers, there are just too many people and a backpack might be too tempting. We had no problems taking the backpack on any ride as they all have room to put them.

ETA: We had the diapers, wipes, and clothes in a transparent bag that we left with the stroller as well as sippy cups and such. My backpack had wallets, park admission cards, cell phones, sunglasses, etc. so I consider those valuables. I had no problem leaving other stuff.

We did not lock our stroller, but it is a cheapie, and had bright colored tape all over it, so not all that appealing to a thief -and not likely to be mistakenly taken by someone with the same model. If you have a nice one, you might want to consider locking the wheels together. You aren't allowed to lock it to fences or anything, as the CMs move them when needed to make more room.

We have never had a problem with our stuff at Disney. However, this trip, we came out of Laugh Floor and DD's beloved puppy and our water misting fan were both gone. We were more careful after this.

I have left our backpack on our stroller, but I carried the electronic things...camera, DS's hand held video game, and Pal Mickey with us. All that was in the pack was diapers, and extra clothes and snacks.

When DH and I got married, we bought a bunch of purple ribbon to use. It was on clearance and I got all they had. We still have some left, so I take some with us each trip and put in on the handle, and I use it on my suitcase as well.

We never had any problem w/the stuff we left on or in the stroller, I wouldn't recommend leaving anything valuable in your knapsack, but we left a bag/extra clothes/diapers/ sippy cups hanging on the side of stroller, mist fan (which I would hide inside the knapsack because those are so $$ in WDW, could be tempting) but we never had anything taken.

Too funny!

I bet she got some looks.
