We had one done after our last trip and it came out great! The only problem was deciding which pictures to use.

I actually just did this last week for my anniversary Sunday. I'm excited because they just finished producing it & it's being shipped. I was a litte worried it wouldn't get here in time, but it looks good. Looking at the previews as I was creating it, it should be cool.

I've been wanting to do this! I have a question though.....

The information says you can put in up to 112 of your own pictures into
7 chapters, but when you click on more information, it only lists 5 chapters
(MK, AK, MGM, Epcot, and Beyond the Parks) and it says how many pictures you can have for each chapter, MK and MGM up to 16 pictures, Epcot up to 14, AK up to 15 and Beyond the parks up to 7 pictures. So........that only comes to 5 chapters and 68 pictures? :confused3 What are the other 2 chapters and where do the other 44 pictures go?

I believe it means you can do more than one chapter for each park. So, I will probably have 2 MK and 2 AK chapters and 1 each of the others.

So, you could do 7 chapters of MK at 16 each which is 112.

Oh! Thank you! Disney should explain it as well on their website! :teeth:

I know. I didn't understand it either until I got in and started playing with it.

OK, I think I'm going to give it a whirl. Wish me luck! :wizard:

P.S. Thanks for posting.

The remaining pictures go into a slideshow at the end. It does say that on the site somewhere, have been playing with it a couple of weeks. (Want to get it perfect:)

I can't say I had good luck today. :( Difficulty uploading. :confused3

I was also wondering about the 112/160 issue - is that what it is, a slideshow at the end? To simplify I made a separate folder for the (112) pictures, got it down to 120 actually but had a lot of trouble deciding which ones since I'd taken over 1000 last month. Uuggh. I'm going to take a break from it for a while...

It seems they allow you to upload 160 photos so you can decide after you upload. From what I read on the website, the slide show is of all the photos you have used in the movie. It will not include all that you have uploaded. I hope I am giving you the correct information. Good luck.

can you upload photopass pics, that you've previously purchased/scanned?

I uploaded Photopass pics from our DVD but found out I had to rotate some. It was easier to put in our PhotoPass number and get them that way. I thought they might not be available because we went in August. They appeared when I put in the number. Also, it did not count against the number you could upload.

Hope this helps.

Finally got it done. I wonder if they're going to upgrade the program after 2007? It would be nice if they gave you different options if you have to choose the same chapter twice. Thanks for the help everyone.

I was looking into this for my last trip - just recently. I noticed this on the site for those interested right now:

Important Update! Disney's PhotoMovie Site
will be closing soon!

Note that on November 19, 2006, DisneyPhotoMovie.com will be closed. After this date you will not be able to access your account or create or purchase a PhotoMovie. An enhanced site will re-open in early 2007. Note that any edits you make to your movie will not be accessible on the new site.

Any orders placed through November 19 will be fulfilled within our normal delivery standards. If you are interested in purchasing Disney's PhotoMovie for the holidays, orders must be placed by November 19, 2006.

We regret any inconvenience that this may cause and hope you will be back to enjoy the newly launched site in early 2007.

So I just got our completed DVD in the mail this morning and I LOVE IT!! :wizard: Feels like our family's in a vacation planning video.

I couldn't figure out what the "slideshow" was when there was talk about it, but turns out, there are two options to the DVD. One, the Disney Photomovie, and two, the slideshow - which is all your pictures put to Disney music just by themselves. What a pleasant surprise, since they fill the whole TV screen when you watch them!

Hope some of you got yours done before the 19th, but if not, definitely consider doing one when the new site is up and running again! :thumbsup2

That is awesome - Yea!! Glad you love it.

I will do it for my last two trips when the site is up and going again.

Sounds great! I finished mine and it should arrive in a few days. The girls will be so excited. I can't wait. I'm glad I decided to do it.

Did you get the email that they will also do photobooks?
