Making Two Reservations to Save $$$

I read about this somewhere aroudn this board.

I looked into it - we are going to Disney Mon-Fri. We fly home Saturday and would not have time to go to the park. I've been getting quotes for onsite DM plan for a moderate for Mon-Sat. I just checked disney's site for Mon-Fri for DM; and resort only for Fri-Sat and it would save us as much as $350!

Can anyone give me more info? Would a Travel Agent be helpful in making these reservations? How would we handle the change? Would we need to check out and re-checkin?

Also, what is "check-out" time on Friday? Our UPH are good til midnight Friday, correct?

Any info!?! Please help!

I booked my two reservations through dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and they were very helpful. My situation was a little different from yours (I wanted the silver add-on for half the trip) but was basically the same. I did have to go to guest services and check out and back in, but that process took about 10 minutes. You definitely want to mention when you first get there that you have continuing reservations so that they're able to assure that you'll get the same room for your second reservation. It's not hard to do and is definitely money-saving!!

Oh, and yes- UPH are good from the minute you check in to Midnight the day you check out. We are doing a room only on both ends of our trip.

You can do it yourself through Disney! No agent needed....just tell them what you want to do--split your reservation...Mon-Friday including UPH, and Fri-Sat room-only. Make sure you tell them when you check in that you have continuing reservations so they'll keep you in your same room. You will have to check out then check back in.

Maybe this is a dumb question but- does this work at the Dolphin and Swan too? I was not going to go through WDW but direct through the Dolphin to take advantabe of the nurse discount. Can you get UPHs when you stay there?: Thanks for any info-I was going to plan our Sea World/US & IOA days during the first part of our stay and am trying to make the best decision as to WDW tickets.

There is a Disney desk at both the Swan and the Dolphin. You can buy the UPHs there and drop the first, the last, or both days off the tickets. They were very friendly in offering up information I hadn't even asked for! As it was, we had planned our flights for early in and late out so I wanted the first and last days ON my UPHs. You're going to love your stay at the S/D!
