Making two ADRs at same time?

We may add a day to our trip and I'm really not sure what our plans will be. If we are tired, we plan on just staying at the WL and I'd like to eat at WCC for dinner so we don't have to venture out anywhere. If we are up to it, we'd like to go to MK for the EMH and eat a Liberty Tree Tavern so dd4 can meet Goofy. If I called would they allow me to make ADRs for both of these places knowing that I will have to cancel one of them when I arrive? Or is this just a bad idea altogether?

Also just another quick question in general, we have several other ADRs for other days, what happens if something comes up and you forget about your ADR and you don't call and cancel?
Thanks

I believe that Disney dining frowns upon having multiple reservations. When I called to change some of my ADRs a few weeks ago I booked the new ones first than told them I wanted to cancel some. With my name and number she (Disney dining gal) was able to bring up all of my reservations on one screen (for two trips) and went through the list with me to make sure the right ones were cancled and I did not have any double bookings.

If they catch you, they may cancel one. And they may not even call to let you know - it can be problematic if your party is splitting up.

With the exception of meals that require a credit card deposit, if you don't show up, your seat will simply be given to someone else. No harm, no foul. Disney seems to be overbooking expecting a few no shows - and there are always walkups.
