Making the Jump from Half Marathon to Full Marathon

I did my first full last weekend. I spent 2010 preparing for it by running a couple of 30K races. It's not a common race distance but I was lucky enough to live in the Toronto area where there are two 30K races held every year - Around the Bay and Midsummer Night's Run. That distance is really a nice transition between the half and the full and gives you an idea of running a distance that's just longer than a half. I was glad to have those two races under my belt because I had a knee injury that prevented me from running a distance longer than 14 miles as I was training for January. In the end the missed, 20 mile run didn't matter. Good luck!
