Hi

I am looking to make some t shirts for our upcoming holiday.
I have seen some great ideas on here.
My question is do you need a special printer/ink or just special transfer paper to print it on, then iron on the transfer?
Sorry if this seems a stupid question!

Is it unlikely that a shop will print disney designs due to copoyright etc.

Thanks in advance.

I buy my iron on transfers from Amy and just found out they are for ink jet printers.

I learned the hard way not to use them with a Laser Printer. It causes the printer to get to hot and the ink to clump.

If anyone can answer a question for me I would be very thankful. I know am using an ink jet printer, however, the colors are not as bright as they were when I was using the laser printer. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Oh My!!! I hope that you did not ruin your laser printer. I have heard that if you print a regular iron on sheet in a laser printer will not only ruin the transfers but also ruin the machine.

As far as the colors go, you will find that when you iron the designs to the shirt, the colors will POP! I wish I knew some scientific reason for this but somehow the heat of the iron makes the colors bright again.

Also, if you're doing the transfers onto dark fabric, make sure that you choose the right paper. I picked the lighter transfer paper, then tried to iron it onto dark fabric and the colours didn't show!!!

Thanks Amy for the tip. Lucky I cought my mistake before any damage was done to the printer.

It's nice to know that the color will come back after I iron them on.

I will post pictures when they are complete. I am going to finish printing them tonight and take them to my friend in the morning. He will order the shirts for me and iron them on. It will take him about a week to complete them.

Well. I didn't realize there was a difference between printers. I am no techno geek, that's for sure. I have a Kodak printer, and have no idea what it is.

I can't figure out how to "flip" the image!!! Can anyone help? I have looked everywhere for that "Flip, Reverse and Mirror" button but I just can't find it.

Thanks for any info!!
