Making somebody else's Disney Magic ...

been teary eyed for an hour now This is what I love about Disney! We do the small stuff like hand out unused FPs and stuff. Last year we went to WDW with 15 people, 14 had passes. I ran to ToT and grabbed a FP w/every ticket. Everyone ended up leaving accept a few of us. DH, Dsis, and myself went on ToT. We still had about 11 tickets left. We took 3 and rode again and found a group of 8 kids waiting in the standby line! They squealed with happiness (boys and girls alike) and thanked us all the way through until they boarded their elevator!

It was a great way to end the night

On our last trip I was taking photos at the China Pavilion with my new camera. A young couple came up to me and asked if I would take a photo of them. All they had was a cell phone. I said sure and took their photo, they thanked me and I kept taking my photos. They then came over to me and said " your flash didn't go off." I told them it didn't need to and checked my view finder. The photo looked nice. I showed them the photo and they thought it was great. So I offered to take their photo with my camera and said I could e-mail it to them if they wanted. They were thrilled. I took a few shots and gave them my e-mail so they could contact me. When we arrived home I had an email from them and sent their photos. They were so happy! They said they had one made in to an 8X10 and framed it.

It made me feel good to be able to share something I enjoy doing and making someone else happy!! Now I put my Dis name on LGME with my e-mail just in case I run into another DISer that I may want to exchange info with. I can just give t out. Here's one of my photos from that night:

I have often given FP's away. One that stands out in my mind was a woman was frantically pushing a stroller with two very unhappy kids. They wanted to ride Pooh and the wait time was 60minutes+ I handed her 4 Pooh FP's and she just about kissed me.

Also last March at Epcot we saw a family of 3 looking at the wait time board for Soarin' It was March break about 5pm. FP's were long gone and wait time was over 2 hours. They had just arrived, newbies, never had been to Disney before and came over to Epcot on a after 4pm convention ticket. I had 3 extra GAD fastpasses and asked them to join us for the ride. At first they thought I was nuts, but then I said just follow us in the FP line. They were such a nice family and it was fun talking to them in line and I'm glad I could make their Epcot day magical!

I haven't done it yet, but when I go in October I am planning on sharing a little magic. I plan to pick a family and ask them to follow me into the area of the TT exit with all the GM vehicles. A perk of being a GM employee is that we are able to show our badges and walk up the exit of TT and right onto the ride without a wait!! I'm so excited to be able to share this perk!

We were in the MK in the morning on our last day. Just had to take that last walk down Main St. The kids wanted to ride Goofy's Barnstromer. When they were exiting the Dream Team was there and gave us Dream Fast Passes. My girls were so excited but we didn't have time to use them. AS we were leaving Town Hall Square we noticed a couple just arriving. My girls played the dream team and gave the Newly married couple their fast passes.
We took pictures and when we look at the photo albulm at brings back such happy memories. I'm sure the couple that we gave them to feels the same.

Not a huge one, but was still fun for us:
We took our second trip this past November, and did a late Chef Mickey breakfast to celebrate D's birthdau. I ordered a cake, and it was wayy too much for the 3 of us. At the table next to us was another family celebrating a birthday, and they knew nothing aobut ordering cakes. I could see the look on mom's face when our cake came out and her son saw it. We shared our cake and candles with them, and had a blast.

Read this whole thread and it is awesome. It definitely gave me some ideas for our September trip.

Whenever I'm doing an event as Will Turner, I fill my pockets with cursed Aztec coins that I bought when our Disney store was going out of business. Little kids absolutely love getting treasure from Pirates. I am planning on taking a few of the coins with me when we go and although I won't be a pirate at the time, I will be giving them to little ones I see dressed as pirates(with permission of course). Hopefully they will still enjoy getting them from a "close friend" of Captain Jack Sparrow.

Okay, I am going to give my age away here. But, back in the 60"s I guess you purchased tickets and that each ride requied a fixed number of tickets to ride. I don't remember exactly how it worked, I was only 6 at the time. Anyway, my mom and I were at the airport waiting to board our plane and a few flight attendants were there and gave us all of their leftover tickets to use when we got to DL or they may have been for Knotts Berry Farm. Either way someone was spreading some pixe dust.I remember how happy my mom was to get those tickets. She was a single mom so this trip was huge expense for her.

Love this thread and LOVE what the Disney magic brings out in people!

We've done many things on our past 10 trips - giving out fastpasses, giving seats on the bus, giving out extra un-opened desserts from the dining plan, taking pictures for people, etc.

However, something from this past trip stands out that I'd like to share. We were walking around WS one evening before dinner and were in England. My mom and I decided to go back to the Toy Store and see if any characters were there, and my sister and dad were walking around the store. Pooh and Tigger were out, so my mom and I got in line. The cast member came up and said that we were the last family. Then, just a minute or two later, a little girl - maybe 2 or 3 years old, and her mom and dad came up and got in line. The cast member came over and said that we were the last ones in line, and that he was sorry the line was closed for the night. The little girl started BAWLING tears. My mom and I offered them our spot in line, and the parents said no - they didn't need us to do that. We insisted! The little girl was SO happy that she was going to get to meet Pooh and Tigger, and it made us feel so good. It wasn't much, but they were very appreciative.

Thanks so much! I had just purchased a Nikon D90 days before the trip so it was my first time having that camera at the world. I'm excited to see what I can do with it now that I know how to use the camera a little better. We are heading back in October so I'll have a ton of new photos!

We usually give out our fast passes that we are not going to use when we leave the park to someone.
Once while waiting for Fantastic my kids handed out glow sticks to all the kids in our section.

Our biggest giveaway was

Back in 2007 my dad and mom were suppose to go to Disney with us. My Dad ended up with a GBM stage 4 brain tumor so they did not go. all the tickets were bought including MNSSHP tickets. At his urging we still went. To make a long story short we decided the first couple we saw that were pleasant would suprise them with 2 tickets 2 the MNSSHP. One the bus to MK we met an older couple who were celebrating their anniversary . They were the lucky couple to get the tickets and boy were they surprised. The woman hugged us and had tears in her eyes. Her husband was shocked.

I must say with all the drama going on in life at that time spending it at Disney esp at AKV made it all bearable. Nothing like calling home at 4am to get an update on my Dad while watching the animals wake up.

So very, very kind of you. I lost my dad to a GBM in 2005.

My DH and I have been so blessed thanks to his parents, they passed away. Anyways we wanted to pass our blessings onto some our friends who cannot afford too go to WDW. The first family was a friend of mine, her daughter and her DH who have had some real rough times lately. I can say there was some Disney magic going on cause they had a great time and reconnected as a family while there. The other trip was my BFF on her bd last year. I really planned a great bd for her with a stay at BLT with castle view. She loved the view and 2 of the resorts that I took her to. I hope this was a trip that she will remember always. This Nov we will be taking some friends of my DH. They also have had some rough times lately and have not had a vacation since the kids were little. They are adults now and have moved away. The son is now serving in Afghanistan and I am sure this really weighs heavy on their minds for his safety. So we offered to take them for 4 days to our favorite place WDW and hope to share the magic with them. We have 4 nights at CR with castle view and I feel this will be so special for them to get too see the fireworks from our room. They both have never been, so this trip will be very special. So this is what we do to spread the Disney Magic.

We've done a couple of things too....in 2007 we got the free dining plan, but couldn't use all of it so on the last day I 'paid' for goods at the Main Street Bakery for the family behind us in the line to use up the last of our credits. Also, we were at CR waiting for our ADR for CM. There was a little boy, about 3 I guess watching people using the pressed pennies machine. He was with his dad whilst his mum had taken his sister to the bathroom. I asked him if he would like to turn the wheel with me, and then gave him the penny. His dad seemed slightly embarrased by it all, but then mum came back and thanked me lots, saying he was always fascinated but they never has the spare cash to let him do it. His smile was worth every penny (don't think his sister was too impressed tho as she'd missed out.

How amazing! This is exactly what I would like to do if I ever had the means to do it. I am welling up with tears at your generosity. Thank you for giving me some inspiration to do the small stuff while I wait for the opportunity and means to do the larger.

We give away Fast Passes. If someone I knowthat has kids is going to WDW, I'll make the child a couple of appliqued outfits and tshirts plus I make travel books for them with mazes, coloring pictures and a journal to track their vacation. Also, I'll make planning journals for the adults that has all of their info- flights, car rental, hotel reservations, ADRs,etc. I bind it and laminate it. Oh and I make autograph books for them too.

We have passed on some disney pins to get people started in that addiction. Not sure if that counts as a good deed or not.

Also given away fastpasses, glow sticks, other small items to others to brighten their day.

However we have also had this done to us on other occasions so it all works out in the end I think. Good Karma is always appreciated.

Reading this has been a great way to spend part of my day!

We will be taking our grandchildren next year. Such great ideas....I will be buying extra glow sticks, stickers and Mickey balloons.
