Making reservations

When I am able to make our reservations for our family trip next year am I able to book longer then the 1 week? If we have the points to book 3 more days can I? TIA!

No you can't book more than 7 then. But you can call the following day and add a day, etc. Or wait until the end of your dates to add the 3 days.

Or you can wait until you are three+ days out from the start (and 11 months) and book all ten nights.

At home resort, you can book as many days as you want as long as your departure date from the DVC resort is no more than 11 months plus 7 days from date you call (or go on-line) to make the reservation. At non-home resorts, that would be 7 months plus seven days. That is the effect of the seven day rule which allows you to call exactly 11 months (or 7) out from date of arrival and book up to seven nights.

They do that so that someone with a lot of points doesn't book weeks ahead to beat the booking window and then cancel the first days.
