Making reservations - owning at multiple resorts

It's my understanding that MS will not allow you to borrow points when points are still available in your current use-year - but I have a question about owning at multiple resorts.

Say I'm making a reservation in the 7-month window - so no home resort priorty needed.

I have:
0 points in my master contract, 2003-use year, Resort "A"
50 points in an add-on contract, 2003-use year, Resort "B"
100 points in an add-on contract, 2003-use year, Resort "C"
150 points in my master contract, 2004-use year, Resort "A" (some points already borrowed for an 11-month reservation)
All points available in both add-on contracts, 2004-use year.

Will MS let me borrow from my 2004 Master contract, when there are still points available in both add-on contracts at other resorts for 2003? I have plans to use those points for 11-month reservations, and would hate to use them now, "wasting" them on a 7-month reservation...

If it matters - I have not yet entered my 2003-use-year (October).

Yes they will but usually you'd be better off using the current use year points rather than borrowing the 2004 points. I know there are exceptions when you're trying to bank and borrow to use the 11 month window.

As Dean stated, MS will allow you to borrow when there are other points available. I do this often without issue or problem.

I have multiple contracts at 2 resorts and try to use our HH points only at HH. I have often borrowed OKW points from the next Use Year while keeping current HH points intact (or even banking them at the same time).

As long as you keep track of the contracts, you should have no problem at all. The combinations of ways to use points is almost limitless, but I've found that using points all from one contract (even if I have to borrow) is easier than transferring points from another contract or resort (it's certainly easier on my recordkeeping). Thus far, I've not had to cancel a reservation made with borrowed points so have not had to deal with that as an issue.
