If you're at WDW and decide you want to eat at somewhere that takes PS, can you call ahead to see what's available without a charge on your room phone? For example, suppose we get up and decide to go to MK that day and want to eat lunch at LTT. Is there a number to call from your room? Also, what if we're at, say MGM, in the morning, but decide to go to Epcot in the evening and want dinner there? I thought I read where you could call for PS from any public phone by dialing a certain number (no charge).
I guess you can tell I've always planned way ahead, made PS from home, and want to be more spontaneous next trip. I don't know how to call for PS unless it's done from home!

Yes, you can. I think it might be something like *55. I'll have to look to make sure.

Yep! Your phone in your hotel room will have a number for you to connect directly to Disney Dining! :) It works pretty well in my experience! Unless it's a weekend night......I have had good luck getting reservations the same day.

In the park just look for guest services and they can get you hooked up :)

Yes, 55 is what you need to dial. I also believe it will work from any pay phone in the parks.

Yep, done it many times. Called from the room, a pay phone,(no cost), from a cell phone and have just stoped by the resturant when the park opened. We go off season but have always gotten what we wanted.

I usually just call the resort operator and ask to be connected to Disney Dining. There's never a charge, and the operator always knows just where to connect me.

Enjoy your trip!

We have found the resort operator to be very good at directing us to the source for the questions we have. We have called to find out opeing times, bus routes, show times etc. Always had our questions answered. Also found bus drivers to be a wealth of information.

I may be wrong, but I thought it was *88 from any phone on WDW property.

Thanks, I thought it was *88. But one page in the Birnbaum's guide said to hit 55 from a phone in the main lobby. But when I look at the very back of the book it does say *88 from any phone.

So, *88 is what you need to use from any phone on WDW property, including pay phones.
