Making online reservations

Happy to say last night after a ton of searches we got a Be Our Guest seating for September. It's not for the date we wanted, so i keep checking.

Stupid question, but I thought I read somewhere that people got better results individually checking each specific hour than just searching generic Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Is that actually true or am I just wasting time?

If there are many times available I think you do get better results checking specific hours. If there are few times available, the broader "meal" time will be enough. You can figure this out quickly by choosing one then choosing the other.

I would also search different combinations of party size as that can open up some availability. IE, if you need a table for 4 people search 6 or 8. You can change the amount of people after your make the ADR.

Side note, if your looking for anything in Disney Springs, Open table is another good source to find reservations that may not be in MDE. There is no penalty to cancel either unlike an ADR through WDW.

There are 3 of us but I've been checking parties of 2 just in case and either dh or I would not join. Didn't think I could do 4 because you have to tell them whose coming and give a credit card.

You don't really have to tell them everyone who's coming (unless it's a pre-paid meal), just the name of the lead guest who controls the reservation. So you can make a reservation for 4 and just show up with 3 - no penalty.

Yes you can, as long as they aren’t too close together. For instance you couldn’t have a 10:45 breakfast and an 11:30 lunch. If they are too close together, the program will tell you, and make you choose one or the other.

I had trouble getting the date and time I wanted at BOG for our September trip so I used the Touring Plans reservation finder. It took about a week but I now have the BOG reservation I wanted.
