How did you integrate his stuff and your stuff? I like my stuff but I want it to feel like his home too. Its probably easier when you both move into a new place together rather than one moving in with the other. Any tips on making a smooth transition from "mine" and "his" to "ours"?

Make room in your closet and dressers. Put out two towels in the bathroom. Display some of his things, even the ugly hideous things. Take new pictures of ya'll together and display them. Get rid of some of the girly, if you have girly decor.

One of the questions my mom's pastor asked us in the pre-marital counseling we were required to attend was, "How do you feel about sharing a bathroom with a guy?".
I gave him a look and said, "It's fine. I've never had my own room or my own bathroom. Everything I've ever had I've had to share."

For me, it wasn't really much of a big deal making 'my' stuff and 'his' stuff 'our' stuff. I had moved a bunch of my things in a few weeks before the wedding and spent a lot of time at his apartment so I really felt at home even before I moved in.

"Clean Sweep" each room for the full gung-ho transition.

Empty the room completely, clean, decorate, paint, etc...whatever you need to do there and then set it up together.

Obviously some of your stuff has to go.

That way it is "like new" moving in together.

If he doesn't care, then just make some room for his stuff.

He has pretty much been "living" there for 2 months. Its just going to be official now.

We already have our towels out together. He has two drawers and closet space already, plus bathroom space. Nothing is really going to change except that his furniture will be here now.

His bedroom suit is going in our room. Mine is being moved to the guest room (except my bed, DD want it). His living room furniture is going in the living room. Mine is going to the family room. (Half of it is there anyway, the sofa is too big to get up the steps into the living room.) We are going to redecorate our room and our bathroom together.

The biggest issue is going to be the closet. He has WAY more clothes than I do.

I don't want him to feel like a guest. I want it to feel like our home.
