Does anyone know of websites where a talented writer can make money online writing articles, short fiction, etc?

You won't make much but you could try mturk.com. It is a website run by Amazon.

Also, ChaCha is hiring Expediors for a very short time. There is not much writing in that though.

I score essays online for Pearson. The pay is decent but it is very temporary. You only score during the busy testing seasons. (March-early May)

I made a nice little sum for our Disneyland trip.
