Making Magnets

I know this is not the ideal forum for this question, but got no answers over in The Creative Community.

I am planning to make some magnets for my family for an upcoming cruise. I bought a laminator and magnetic tape and was just wondering which thickness of pouches I should be trying to use. Could anyone with experience give an opinion as to which thickness worked best for them?

I have had a lot of success with the 3ml pouch. The 5ml pouch, while sturdier, is sometimes too heavy for the magnet. Hope that helps.
