making dining ressies - phone or online

Is it faster/better/easier to make them over the phone or online? What time do online ressie opportunities open up? I seem to remember 6am, but it has been a year since I booked ressies. And what about phone service? When do the phone lines open up to start making ressies each day? Thank you!

Online 6 AM Eastern time
Phone 7 AM Eastern Time

If the online system is working well, it gives you a 1 hour headstart over calling.

Depends on how fast you are with typing your credit card and billing info, and how savvy you are with the website, I guess. Apparently you have to retype your credit card info with each reservation that requires it which seems stupid to me.


Is there any way to just save your info on your account, like with amazon.com?
