Making an ADR without a credit card

Is this possible? We don't own any credit cards (nor do we plan to get any.) Our debit cards have the Visa and Master Card logos on them, but will they make a hold on my funds for 180 days until our actual reservation?

You don't get charged anything unless you don't show up.

Your debit cards will be fine. They do not hold any funds at all. The only time they will charge you is if you do not show up for your reservation or if you are going to cancel less than 24 hours before.
